Tree planting restores degraded areas and can be carried out through social events involving schools, associations and NGO partners.

GREEN SERVICES PROVIDER.

• 05 trees in the Atlantic Forest offset an average of 1 ton of carbon in 21 years. (Embrapa, 2020).

 

• 1 hectare of trees planted in the Atlantic Forest offsets an average of 3.6 tons/year of carbon (Imazon, 2009).

 

• An Amazonian tree pumps 1,000 liters per day into the atmosphere (Nobre, 2014), about US$ 67.00/year.

 

• 90% of global water in the atmosphere comes from trees (Nature, 2013).

 

• Annual economic benefit from restored rainforest is about US$

7,000 per hectare/year (UN, 2010).

 

• + US$ 4 billion / year comes from tropical forest services in the world. (Constanza, 1998).

CARBON SEQUESTRATION

WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Photosynthesis is an environmental service provided by trees, which involves the absorption of CO2 molecules, the emission of O2 and H2O into the atmosphere, and the production of biomass.

 

According to research developed there are many parameters of carbon sequestration (Kg) per tree, as shown at the graph on the right side. We use an average parameter scale based on different authors.

 

If you decide to compensate carbon, you can combine planting of trees + preservation pf protected forests + recycling of materials and alternative energy.
